SP 2007: How to Uncheck the Send Welcome e-mail checkbox

To uncheck the "Send Welcome E-mail" checkbox that is checked by default when you add a user to a site, follow these instructions. Caution: It does modify an out-of-the-box file and it will likely get over-written during an update, so it is always risky. That being said, for me, the risk is low since it is a farm that will not get more updates nor will it get upgraded.
1. Go here: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS
2. Find this file: AclInv.aspx and edit.
3. Find the section below and change the text in red to False. It will be True by default.
